Powered by the People is my first documentary short about my friend, Heather Hendrie, and her idea to engage the community on energy issues through a bike powered concert. A documentary can find audiences in creative ways. In this case, it was premiered on June 30th, 2012 and projected on the side of the Simmons building in East Village.
Sometimes we think that a story has to go viral to have social impact. Actually, a story can have more impact if it reaches the people who really need it to support them, inspire them, inform them. And it’s those few inspired people who will make the difference in the world.
