Conceptualize

Translating vision into workable concepts

There's an idea you want others to understand or a story you want others to experience. We'll help you find your central theme as well as decide on a format and approach.

Research

Seek first to understand

What sets us apart is our understanding of the issues and how it fits into the larger context of the earth and humanity. Our aim is to cultivate the collective narrative to create a more compassionate and intelligent society.

Produce

Making it happen

We bring together the right team members to bring the project to life. Our productions have included features and shorts for broadcast on CBC, 360 degree projection installations, and dozens of linear media for museums. From small crews to managing dozens of production and post-production units, we scale for the budget and scope of the project.

PORTFOLIO

FEATURE DOC: Elder in the Making

Elder in the Making premiered at the Calgary International Film Festival to a sold out crowd and critical acclaim. Winner of Best Feature Documentary and Best Original Score in Alberta, this film is now required viewing in schools and companies all across Western Canada. Visit elderinthemaking.com to find out more.

BUILDING A GALLERY: Royal Alberta Museum

Following the success of award-winning documentary “Elder in the Making”, we continued the journey with the production of a series of thirty documentary shorts and a 360 projection for the new Royal Alberta Museum. We travelled across Alberta to bring Dene, Metis, Cree, Blackfoot and Nakoda stories to life. Our core team of four brought together multiple production and post-production units to deliver the series each piece unique in their character, story, and location.

SHORT DOC: The Land is the Teacher

As the season finale for CBC’s longest running series Land and Sea, The Land is the Teacher follows three youth from the north as they go out on to the trapline to learn about themselves and the land.

STAGING A SHOW: TEDxCalgary

Bring your ideas to the stage like architect John Brown who shared his stories about the beauty and elegance of slow homes. We help you stage, light, and run the event so that the final video will be one worth sharing.

PROMOTE A CAUSE – MS Research

Sometimes you need to quickly communicate a simple message about an important cause. We’ll help you find the words and images to express it to a wide audience.

MAPPING STORIES: Ground Beneath Our Feet

During a consultation with the Indigenous community, we heard that many of the stories told by Elders were directly connected to a place. As a result rather than creating a video, we felt it would be better to record audio stories and tie them to a GPS location. The result was a audio tour app that students could then use to explore in the real world.
