One of the joys of telling stories is that you get to immerse yourself in it. The Caylan Boyse Foundation approached me with the project of telling the story of Caylan, an individual with spinal cord injuries. I spent a couple days getting to know his daily routines.

It’s eye-opening to see the everyday challenges yet at the same time inspiring to meet someone who has to every day overcome the enormous challenges of being disabled.

If you want to tell a good story, an authentic story, then it takes time to draw it out. If you’re just looking for someone to plop down a camera and hit record, I’m not your person. But if you’re looking to track a project over time or go deep into an experience, then give me a shout.
